This 3 layer “surgical” mask is a disposable device that creates a physical barrier that protects the mouth and nose from potential contaminants in the immediate area. The folded 3 layer design of the face mask ensures adequate protection, comfort and ease of breathing.

This face mask can be used as an effective barrier against droplets containing the COVID-19 virus from entering your body through your mouth and lungs. The new coronavirus is a respiratory virus which spreads primarily through droplets generated when an infected person coughs or sneezes, or through droplets of saliva from the breath of infected people. These are projected into the air at up to 6 feet away, and enter the body through the mouth, nose and eyes primarily.

While self-isolation, and following all precautions at home is the best measure against exposure to the virus, this is not always practical and at some point everyone needs to venture out, and becomes at risk of being exposed.

Are masks actually effective? There is a lot of debate around wearing masks as a preventative measure against the Corona Virus, and that they should only be worn when someone is infected or in close proximity to an infected person. If your mask is damaged or soiled, or if breathing through the mask becomes difficult, you should remove the face mask, discard it safely, and replace it with a new one. To safely discard your mask, place it in a plastic bag and put it in the trash. Wash your hands after handling the used mask.
